Rodents entering homes and business premises is a very stressful event and our job is to alleviate that stress by providing a same day response to emergencies and arriving on time, every time.
We’ve been eradicating pests and preventing future ingress since 1993 so we know about rodent behaviour.
Business premises often require ongoing maintenance but the majority of rodent issues in private homes are solved with two service visits over 7 days. Once solved, we advise customers on the simple steps they can take to prevent a recurrence.
Our work starts with identifying the route(s) of ingress. In the case of rats in buildings, we can quickly identify these routes. With mice, it can require a lot more time and expertise to establish these routes because of their size. And, it must be said that terraced homes and apartments require even more thought. Once routes of ingress have been established, the riddance plan is initiated.
The trained technician will have much more information on pest conditions at the follow-up visit which should be carried out no more than 7 days after the first. This is because he/she is inspecting a variety of traps, lures and/or bait points that were installed on day one. Evidence on population size, routes of ingress and riddance is readily available to the trained technician on that second visit.
A third visit is required in no more than 10% of all rodent cases in private homes. Usually, this is because of late reporting. Late reporting can arise in rented properties or in circumstances where the resident has tried to solve the problem themselves and was unsuccessful, despite best efforts. It can also arise in circumstances where there is an underlying issue that is unresolved (Drains, for example).
COVID-19 is of great concern to all of us. Our technicians receive weekly antigen tests and are required to stay at home and book a PCR test should symptoms emerge. The PPE worn by our staff ahead of each and every visit include a fresh face covering, gloves and shoe covers. In addition, all Government guidelines are followed rigorously.
Our work is geared toward the health and safety of the Client, their home and/or business premises. The risk assessment carried out at the first visit allows our trained technicians to select a methodology which produces the desired outcome without risk to occupants, pets, furniture or personal effects.
All pest control technicians in Ireland are licensed by the State and regulated by the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine (DAFM). This License is known as a PMU and users of pest control services should ask the technician for his/her PMU number. The License can only be retained by engaging in a minimum level of continuous professional learning and details are published on the DAFM website – www.agriculture.gov.ie
